Geoffrey is a graduate of the UCLA School of Law (J.D.) and the University of California at Berkeley (B.A.).  He is secretary of the board of directors of San Francisco Lighthouse for the Blind; and he participates in various professional and civic organizations, including Lambda Legal, Access Institute for Psychological Services, Human Rights Watch, and Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF).
