David Nied
 resolved a claim for defamation on behalf of a catering manager.  The firm’s client was the subject of an email sent to over 200 people which falsely asserted that she was convicted of financial fraud.  The email was sent by her former employer, a San Francisco eatery.  As a result, the client was unable to get a restful night of sleep thinking of the email’s contents and the false statements had a detrimental effect on her reputation and earnings at her new commission-based job.  The matter resolved in a mediation 4 weeks before trial.
